Way Wall
Does the exterior of the Colosseum in Rome, all the way here?
Modern images of the Coliseum shows an interior wall that is complete, and an exterior wall which do not go all the way around. it fell? or was it designed this way? sources would be nice. Thank you.
Serious damage was caused to the Colosseum by the great earthquake of 1349, causing south side exterior of the collapse. Much of the shooting was reused to build palaces, churches, hospitals and other buildings in Rome.
