I work a non-profit organization that has, in fits and starts, began using social networking sites like MySpace and facebok to connect to existing customers as well as a marketing tool to attract interest. What are the legal issues that must be considered with them? How can – companies and organizations legally stay safe while using these sites?

Until you create a subscription payment or even use an advertising company like Google AdSense for benefits you do not have to worry about anything. If you start with Google AdSense and start building some income that your company must file taxes for that. I just started my site last month, also is under my company name.
