How can I get songs on my iPod?

I'm new to the iPod. I'm thinking of getting an iPod Shuffle. I put music already ripped to my computer to my iPod. Do I have to go to buy music iTunes? Is there a way to transfer songs from my computer to the iPod?

I do not think you have to buy music on iTunes. To make music iPod, (this is for Windows), go to Windows Media Player. Then click the playlist to be viewed on the right side of the screen. Select the "Sync" one. Drag the songs you want to put on the iPod to the list of synchronization. When finished, click "Sync" at the top of the page. will show the list. Click "Start Sync". After their songs are copied to your iPod!
