The wind speed is inaccurate Weatherstation Acurite?
I have a weather station Acu-rite. Last night we had a storm with winds near 50 mph, but the weather station peaked out at 9 mph. The outdoor unit is less than 30 feet to the indoor unit. Does anyone have suggestions to address this problem
I personally use two Anamometers The Acu-Rite I found to be inaccurate in every respect. are not as well constructed as, say, Oregon Scientific, La Cruz stations or higher end. For a correct reading of the true unity must be at least 30 feet above ground and 15 feet above obsticles as buildings and trees. I mounted on the mast of a minimum of 30 feet the roof of the house and I actually better readings Airport less than an 1/4th of a mile.
